Outreach
Collaborate with community
In partnership with schools, day programs, group homes, and more, we bring adaptive music experiences into the spaces where people already work, live and gather.
Community Music Classes
This program offers a customizable opportunity for your group to work with a specialized adaptive music instructor. These group classes are tailored to the participants’ abilities and interests, and can take place at your location or at our music school in Kanata. Groups can book a single class or field trip, a set number of sessions, or an ongoing program, depending on instructor availability. We offset the cost with available funding and offer classes for free when we can; please inquire about current funding if budget is a concern for your group. Fill out our form to get started!
The Music Circle
Delivered in partnership with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, this unique program allows participants to immerse themselves in the world of orchestral music. Participants gain hands-on experience with orchestra instruments in a series of workshops, culminating in a participatory adaptive performance. Learn more about the Music Circle on the NAC website, and fill out our form to request a spot for your group. Thanks to the support of our funders and the NAC, this program is offered at no cost to participants.
On-site Private Lessons
If you have a large community of neurodiverse and/or disabled people in the same school or building, we would be pleased to offer private lessons at your location during your regular hours. This option is a great fit for specialized schools and group homes serving the neurodiverse and disability communities, where many individuals that benefit from adaptive instruction gather under the same roof. Adaptive Concerts
We are proud to partner with Ottawa Chamberfest for this series of inclusive, accessible, and sensory-friendly performances. These shows feature flexible seating, sensory aids, interactive programming from the artists, freedom to exit and enter the concert space throughout the performance, and wheelchair accessible venues.
